We recently spent a long weekend in Utah for my older sister’s wedding. My sister, Carley, who’s been through so much and has overcome so much by the grace of God. Her story is one of absolute beautiful redemption. Without going into too much detail, she has two adorable boys from her previous (abusive) marriage, from which after a few years she finally mustered up the courage to leave. She then went on a journey of major healing and drew so close to Jesus through it all. Her boys are a constant reminder that God can bring beautiful things out of something ugly. She then reconnected with Ryan, a guy she met in college 7 years prior and dated briefly then broke his heart, and they fell in love. Just a beautiful picture of redemption in all sorts of ways. That he forgave her and looks past the past and the scars and that he took her boys in and loves them as her own. I’m so happy for her and cried like a baby as she walked down the aisle.

Basically just dumping photos on the blog right now because I’m trying to catch up and have nothing inspirational to say at the moment.

These photos were taken about a month ago now, after the girls’ doctor’s appointment. We stopped on this cute little street in Long Beach and the houses were giving me all the Miami feels. Even though I’ve never been to Miami… And that vintage car was just the icing on the cake.

Summer here doesn't really begin until July because of May grey and June gloom. And then it lasts until November when everyone is over it and ready for fall haha. But I have a feeling the year I’ll be loving it until the very last second.

Ahhh, Palm Springs. A desert oasis. A place we’ve been visiting since we were first married as a little getaway from real life. We love trying out new hotels each time we go, but sometimes we stick to the ones we know we like. This time we stayed at the V Palm Springs. We first stayed here a few years ago when they first opened. It’s a super cute boutique hotel, that’s styled perfectly and not too expensive. It has a pool with huge unicorn and flamingo floaties (an Ever essential), a poolside bar/restaurant, and cozy rooms. Highly recommend 👌🏼

Paternity leave is my new best friend. Having Jesse home for the past 3 weeks has been so amazing. We chilled at home for the first week or two, but now we’re enjoying all the adventures before he goes back to work. I just wish it could last forever.

Life is pretty chaotic in this 500 square foot house these days. There’s always someone demanding for my attention, and if it’s not someone, it’s someTHING.

7lbs 2oz & 20 inches

We are very (im)patiently waiting for this baby girl to make her debut, and meanwhile going on as many adventures as we can as a family of 3. It’s so crazy to think that any day now our lives will be changed forever.

SPRING! I love you. I’m so happy the rain has stopped and the flowers are blooming, it makes my heart so happy. Springtime also means a new baby will soon be in our arms.

To my daughters, 

May you grow to know your value without a doubt. May you grow to know your feminine strength, and your human frailty. May you grow to know your beauty, but not be defined by it. May you grow in confidence and an unashamed assurance of who you are.  May you grow to love people of all differences, and treat everyone with kindness. May you grow to know the One who created you and sustains you and saved you.

I’m soaking up these last days as a family of 3. I remember grieving, in a way, when it got closer to Ever’s due date, that our time as just the 2 of us was coming to an end, and I’m feeling the same this time. I know our love will grow so much and this baby is meant to be part of our family, but I am sad to see this season go. It’s a strange feeling. So happy and blessed and excited, yet sad for the change.

34 weeks. And this is my first time writing down my pregnancy experience this time around.

I can not believe my baby girl is 3 years old. She’s the sweetest and silliest and sassiest little girl, and I love every single thing about her. 

We’ve done big parties for her every year so far and wanted this year to be simple. Ha! Nothing we do is simple 🤦🏼‍♀️ But we did want her to have a friend birthday party because this is the first year she has her own little friends. I thought a tea party would be so fun!

We were planning to spend the day in San Diego, but I suggested last minute that we go to Tijuana. We've been wanting to take a day trip, but hadn't had a chance. When we were talking about it, we figured out that the last time we went to Mexico was 5 years ago, before we were even married.
