Ever's room has been a work-in-progress since we moved into this house. She didn't have a real space to herself before (which was fine) so there wasn't much I could do in the decorating department. So I was so excited when we found this place because she finally has a space of her own where we can keep all her toys (instead of scattered around everywhere) and a space that I can decorate! She had a few things that I was able to move over to her new space, like the teepee and some storage baskets, but everything else has been new or re-invented. I never intended for the room to take the pink road, but that's kind of where it ended up going. When I found out I was pregnant with a baby girl I swore to dress her in neutrals only and decorate with all the non pink girly things. But I've learned to love the color and I think there's a very tasteful way to use it without being over the top. Her room ended up being mostly neutral with accents of pink, turquoise, and yellow, which I think fits her perfectly. Bright and happy, with a little hint of girliness. So when thinking of what kind of artwork to put in, I had to take that into consideration; color, style, etc. Did I want artwork that was monochrome and more minimalist to balance out the boho-inspired rug and teepee, or did I want artwork that would be the same style, flowery and colorful?
So the hunt for artwork began, but I could never find anything perfect. That is, until Minted came along. It was hard to narrow it down to a few favorites, if I had my choice I probably would have plastered the walls with Minted art. There are so many amazing pieces to choose from, but I was able to score some limited edition pieces.
I decided to go with a mix mix of modern and girly, something that fit with Ever's personality and the whole vibe I'm going for in her room which is warm and inviting, but also minimal and clean. The first piece I fell in love with is this Limited Edition Moths print. I wanted this to be the focal of her shelf so I got it in the 11x14. The second piece that caught my eye the most was this "You Are My Rising Sunshine" print. Its the first verse of "You Are My Sunshine" written in cursive like a rainbow. I thought this was perfect for my little ball of sunshine, and the fact that it's black and white was the cherry on top, helping to add the minimal look to balance out the other pieces. I got this in an 8x8. The third piece I had to have was the Limited Edition Gathered 3 (floral). I got this in a 5x7 because I wanted it to be more of an accent, rather than the focus. It adds the perfect amount of extra color and girly-ness to the shelf, and if you take it away it definitely feels incomplete.
Like I said, it was so hard to narrow it down to these 3, but they were my favorite out of all the artwork (and there's so much, I probably didn't even see it all!), and the perfect addition to her room. The room is still a work in progress and I plan to add more artwork as time goes on.
Minted is known for their art, and the Limited Edition Art makes the perfect anytime or Christmas gift. There are also plenty of other Art Gifts that you can check out. They also have the cutest stationary, holiday cards (I know it's a little late to be making holiday cards), as well as invitations. And they just started Little Mint, which is a curated collection of unique design specifically for children including apparel, home decor, stationary, and party essentials! The cutest things you will ever see.
We also had the opportunity to visit the Minted headquarters when we were in San Francisco this year and talk about a dream job. The totally know how to keep their employees inspired and happy and that makes me respect them so much more.
If you're looking for some artwork, invitations, stationary, or home decor, Minted has you covered. I highly recommend this brand, not only for their amazing quality products and brilliant design, but also because they're such an awesome company that takes care of their employees and care about the customer.
